The company is one of the largest producers of plastics in the world and the foremost supplier of polyethylene (PE) resin. It is also known as the world’s largest producer of polyalkylene glycols and chlorine. Dow is among the three largest chemical producers in the world and operates over 98 manufacturing sites in 31 countries. Founded in 1897, the company is based in Michigan, United States.
